Chapter 2 focuses in on Tom Buchanan and his mistress, Myrtle Wilson. In the beginning of the chapter Nick Carraway's tone is neutral, and kind of distant. In this chapter, the reader finds out that Tom is kind of bossy and demanding, this is when he pulls on Nick, and demands that Myrtle meet him in New York City. Later on in the chapter Tom breaks Myrtles nose. Tom is open about his affair with Myrtle, even though Nick is Daisy's cousin. Myrtle's husband does not know about the affair, but her sister does, this raises the question of whether Daisy knows about the affair too.
Nick Carraway uses very bland, poor descriptions of woman as he narrates, but then he describes Mr.McKee
